Alatening Cultural and Development Association (ACDA)

The Alatening Cultural and Development Association (ACDA) is a is a non profit association, registered in Cameroon. ACDA, formally called Alatening Welfare Association (AWA) was created in 1975. In 1993, AWA was transformed into ACDA.

The Alatening Cultural and Development Association (ACDA) is the development arm of the traditional administration with a mandate of assessing key development needs for the village, developing projects and fund raising for the delivery of these projects to the community. ACDA is a registered non for profit organisation (Registration No 0033/E29/1111/Vol8/APPB of 16 October 2001) in Cameroon.

The primary objectives of ACDA are to:

  • Revive, promote and preserve the culture of Alatening
  • Preserve and protect the integrity of the village
  • Encourage and promote unity, love, loyalty, mutual respect, collective responsibility and cooperation among Alatening people
  • Revitalize growth in Alatening
  • Establish quality education and health care in Alatening
  • Support and assist members of the Association in times of need and difficulties
